Hey Goliath family!
Performance Trainer Jaco here to kick of one of our many blogs to come with the launch of The Goliath App!
Today is #WisdomWednesday!
Throughout this segment of our blog we will be sharing with you some pieces of wisdom that cover a variety of topics inside and outside our field. This will be a platform where knowledge, tips, and information will be shared by our Goliath Team to you, the Goliath family; food for thought, helpful tips, answers to questions, etc. all accessible via the new Goliath App!
Before we start though, let's first define wisdom.
the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise.
the soundness of an action or decision with regard to the application of experience, knowledge, and good judgment.
the body of knowledge and principles that develops within a specified society or period.
So, by definition, and understanding, in this case, wisdom is referred to as the information or body of knowledge that has been shared by individuals of a specified society. For us, that society is the health, fitness and performance industry.
The body of knowledge is the scientific principles we learn throughout our years of education and the guidelines that we follow as trainers and coaches to better our clients/athletes.
Note that point #2 refers to the application of experience and good judgment, which is based on those experiences, and also the experiences of our education in this field.
Now, please don’t be fooled, this is not your typical “Top 10 best….” fill in the blank, neither is this a “Quick Tips” blog. This will be a space where we will utilize our collective knowledge, along with real scientific research and past or present practical experience to answer any of your or our curiosities.
So go ahead! Ask us your questions, and every #WisdomWednesday we will do our best to inquire, research, apply, and understand your questions and we will give you the best possible answer we can come up with of the above in consideration!
Questions and inquiries can be commented on this blog, DM’d on our Insta and Facebook profiles, asked in person during training sessions.
Looking forward to engaging with you all over the course of this blog, and thank you in advance for your interaction!
